 The UWSP Men’s Hockey Team opened up the 2021-22 Season on the road Friday October 29th to take on longtime rival St. Norbert. The Pointers scored two goals at 7:04 and 7:27 into the first period. Later in the first period St. Norbert cut the Pointers lead in half finishing the first period at UWSP 2 St. Norbert 1. Willett Arena for the second game of the home and home Series against St. Norbert where it also marked the return of fans to K.B. Willett Arena. St. Norbert scored first just 2:34 into the first period, five minutes later Brandon McReynolds tied the game up 1-1. 16 seconds later St. Norbert took back the lead and scored twice more by the middle of the first period.
