Pointers split the weekend with St. Norbert | PBLC Weekend Recap

The UWSP Men’s Hockey team opened up the 2019-20 regular season with a home and home series against longtime rival, St. Norbert College.

​Friday November 1st the Pointers hosted St. Norbert College at K.B. Willett Arena where the 2019 NCAA D3 Championship Banner was unveiled. In a tight game, the Pointers and St. Norbert took the game into overtime where St. Norbert won 3-2 over UWSP.

Saturday November 2nd the UWSP Men’s Hockey team hit the road to De Pere, WI to face St. Norbert in game 2 of the home and home series. A penalty filled game for both the Pointers and Green Knights saw the Pointers get a thrilling 3-1 in St. Norbert’s barn and snaps the Green Nights 43 game home unbeaten streak.

The Pointers return to action at K.B. Willett Arena Friday November 8th to face Gustavous Adolphus with the game being sponsored by Taco Bell and Saturday November 9th vs. University of Saint Thomas with Saturday being parents night presented by Holiday Inn / Amber Grill. Parents night is always a special weekend for both the players and staff. We look forward to a packed K.B. Willett Arena for both nights.
